KalHope
Built in Addis Ababa, used everywhere

Your portfolio, your workspace, and your community — running on infrastructure we operate ourselves.

KalHope is a single account that carries your public portfolio, a private workspace of everyday tools, a developer console, an AI assistant, and the people you build alongside — priced for individuals, not enterprises.

Two ways to build your portfolio

6 classic templates for a fast, plan-gated portfolio, and 6 live Spatial templates for an immersive, motion-heavy one — every account can switch between either system at any time.

Classic templates

Six layout templates unlocked by plan tier — Starter through Lifetime — configured in the dashboard's Template tab.

Spatial templates

Six immersive, motion-heavy layouts available to every account, switchable anytime from Spatial setup without losing your content.

Built to be used alongside other people

12 community features you can use today, plus profile showcase widgets for 5 outside platforms that are still in development.

Community

Social showcase widgets

Profile widgets for GitHub, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Dev.to are built and ready to render — we're still wiring each one to its platform's live API before turning them on for real accounts.

Hope AI, a floating assistant with real data

A draggable chat bubble available on every page, not a separate page of its own. 13 tools call the live database directly for anything it says about your account, a price, or a job opening — nothing here is a hardcoded guess. If a question falls outside those tools and its reference knowledge, it says so plainly instead of inventing an answer.

Your account, live

All 10 of these need you to be signed in — a signed-out visitor gets a plain “you'll need to sign in” answer instead of a guessed number.

Platform info, live

These 3 work for anyone, signed in or not — pricing, hiring, and contact details are always pulled fresh rather than recalled from memory.

Writing help, anytime

A separate, ordinary writing-assistant mode — no account lookup involved unless you specifically ask it to tailor something using your real KalHope data.

How KalHope actually makes money

Monetization & the affiliate program

Four real pieces — a self-serve ad marketplace, the admin tooling behind it, a reusable paywall component, and a 15%-by-default affiliate program. No AdSense, donation widget, tip jar, or sponsored badges — those aren't in this codebase.

Built for Ethiopia, not translated for it

Ethiopian-first features

Six details written for the Ethiopian context specifically, not generic tools with a language switch — Ethiopian calendar dates, local prayer times, government-regulated fuel and construction pricing, a real Chapa payment integration, and a Birr exchange rate with a direct link to the National Bank of Ethiopia for comparison.

One account. Your portfolio, your tools, your people — built where you are.

We built KalHope because a single person doing serious work shouldn't need a dozen separate subscriptions to look professional, get organized, and get paid — and shouldn't have to route around infrastructure that wasn't built with them in mind. Everything on this page runs on servers we operate ourselves, priced for what one person can actually afford.
