5-chapter guide
Installing the App
KalHope installs straight from the website: an icon on your home screen or desktop that opens it full-screen, with no app store. Here is how on each kind of device, and what to check if the install button doesn't show up.
Chapter 1
What installing means
Installing KalHope adds an icon to your phone's home screen, or to your computer's apps, that opens KalHope in its own full-screen window instead of a browser tab. You add it from the website itself, so there is no app store and no separate download.
The page to start from is Get the app, which shows an Install KalHope app button when your browser supports it. Pick your device: Android, iPhone and iPad, or a computer.
KalHope needs an internet connection
The installed app does not work offline. Without a connection it shows a page that tells you so, and you can try again when you are back online.
Chapter 2
Android (Chrome)
- Open kalhope.com in Chrome.
- Tap Install KalHope app on the Get the app page, or open Chrome's three-dot menu and choose Install app. Some phones call it Add to Home screen.
- Tap Install. KalHope appears on your home screen.
Chapter 3
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
Apple does not let a website start the install itself, so you do it from Safari's own menu:
- Open kalhope.com in Safari and tap the Share button in the toolbar.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
You sign in once more the first time
The installed app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari. The first time you open it from the home screen, sign in to KalHope again.
Chapter 4
Computer (Chrome or Edge)
- Open kalhope.com in Chrome or Edge.
- Click Install KalHope app on the Get the app page, or the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
- Click Install. KalHope opens in its own window and is added to your apps.
Chapter 5
If something is wrong
Opened the page from Telegram, Facebook or TikTok?
Links opened inside Telegram, Facebook or TikTok use an in-app browser, and those cannot install KalHope. Open the page in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone) first, then follow the steps for your device. This is the most common reason the install option is missing.
- On iPhone and iPad there is no install button on the page. Use Safari's Share menu as described in chapter 3.
- The app opens to a page that says you are offline? Check your connection and try again — KalHope needs the internet.
